Let’s make it!
Our Friendsgiving Printables come with all 4 designs on one page, so if you are using one of the Friendsgiving Thanksgiving printables, you’ll need to cut it out first. I used my pinking shears to get the zig-zag edges.
Next, you’re going to paint an even coat of the Folkart White Chalk paint on the surface of the Dollar Tree wood sign box. Usually, I use the back of these, but I decided I could just paint over this design and use the front!
Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. I like to use my heat gun to speed up the drying process! If you don’t have a heat gun, a hairdryer would also work.
Once the chalk paint is dry, you’re going to apply Mod Podge to the surface of the wood sign box where you want to adhere to the printable design.
Add some detailing
Next, I wrapped some of the white jute twine around the top of the wood sign box above the top of the fall printable design.
I might use these half wood beads too much, but I just love the detail they give to my DIY crafts and how they just go with everything!
Just hot glue 5 of the half wood beads to the wood sign box underneath the printable design. I didn’t paint or stain the beads, but I think they would be super cute if you stained them brown!
Finishing touches
Finally, I dipped a chippy paintbrush into the Apple Barrel Burnt Umber Acrylic Paint and just dabbed it around the edges of the wood sign box.
This step is what gives the Thanksgiving table decor the aged, distressed look! Once your paint dries, you’re all done!
I hope you enjoyed learning how to make a Thanksgiving Table Decor with a Free Fall Printable as much as I did and decide to make it for yourself!
