Spooky Season Door Hanger
This Spooky Season Door Hanger was so much fun to make! It is a blank wood craft kit that I painted to match my own vision for my door.
The best thing about using craft kits to make your own home decor is they are quite literally a blank canvas. You can stain, paint, decoupage, and decorate them however you want to!
This Halloween sign can be hung with twine, ribbon, or rope as a simple door hanger, or you can attach it to a wreath to make a unique Halloween wreath for your front porch!
This is a wood blank craft kit that I cut and sell in my shop! It would make a fun Halloween kid’s craft with adult supervision, but is also suitable for adult crafting.
How to make a Spooky Season Door Hanger
The gist of how I made my spooky season door hanger for Halloween is this:
- Clean the pieces of the unfinished kit with a baby wipe or by lightly sanding the front surfaces (sometimes there can be flashback from our laser machines)
- Stain the pieces with a brown paint
- Paint the pieces with the colors of choice (you can see my paint color choices in the video tutorial)
- Once dried, distress the pieces (optional)
- Glue the pieces to the round hanger
- Attach a rope, ribbon, or twine to hang the spooky season sign (or attach it to a wreath)
- Hang it on your door!
