This Dollar Tree Star Patriotic Wreath was so much fun and was inspired by the Easter egg wreaths that were swirling around Pinterest earlier this year!
I had so much fun making this, but I loved it even more because of how affordable it was to make! I’m always looking for ways to decorate my home in a unique and appealing way, but I have a budget that doesn’t always include buying things new.
So, when I can’t go to the store and drop a ton of money on decor, I think up ways I can improvise something with items in my craft stash, like this patriotic wreath!

How to make this Dollar Tree Star Patriotic Wreath

I started by gluing the burlap to the back of one of the star wreath forms. Then, I glued the raffia onto the burlap.
Next, I painted each of the foam stars with their corresponding colors. My goal was to cover up the glitter on each one.
Allow the paint to dry, then glue the stars onto the raffia. Then, glue the second star wreath form over the raffia and stars. I also used a few zip ties to secure the stars together.
Next, I tied a little bow out of the red ribbon with little white stars and secured it with jute twine. I glued the bow onto the star.
Next up I worked on the hanger! I looped jute twine at the top of the stars and put two beads onto the twine.
Lastly, I wrapped the jute twine around the key ring to cover it completely, then secured the jute twine so it wouldn’t unravel.
