We continue our “we can make that” theme this month with this DIY String Art Home Decor! This month in the Creative Haven, our theme is inspired by our members! I love including the Creative Haven Members in our DIY adventures. Asking them to submit their Pinterest Inspired submissions was just so fun. Ironically, I have always wanted to learn how to create string art. I am ready for this challenge!

DIY String Art Home Decor

Alright let’s have a look at the supplies that we will need!
August 24th 2020 Supply List for DIY String Art Home Decor
You will need: (items shown in photo or any substitution you prefer) Don’t forget, you are not required to use the exact items!
- Dollar Tree Yarn or String
- A wood board (I am using a 2 x 10 scrap pice of wood)
- You will need White and Brown Paint (you can use an brand you like I prefer Apple Barrel or Craft Smart)
- Raffia (i finally decided to order mine in bulk)
- Nails (you want ones with heads on them)
- Hammer (I found a small one for you to consider for your craft stash)
- Paint Brushes such as these (by the way this pack is cheap) or use ones from Dollar Tree
- You will need a template for your design to nail into.
Please substitute where you can! If it is not in your budget to purchase supplies, please get creative and think outside the box! Ask yourself, “What else could I use?” Furthermore, do you have things at home you can use? You can still craft with us! BUYING SUPPLIES FOR THE CRAFTS in the Creative Haven is NOT a requirement. I simply want you to craft with us and make it your own.
Use your creative imagination to make this your own!
