These cute little envelopes and mini hearts and simple and quick to make and add to your Valentine’s Day decorations!
This DIY Valentine’s Day Jar Fillers is one way I create joy in my life because crafting my own home decor brings me joy!
I put my own spin on the sign, but you get to fully customize and personalize the unfinished sign to make it match your vision and decor style!
How to make DIY Valentine’s Day Jar Fillers
The first step of making any of my kits is sanding each piece. When we cut the pieces on our laser machines, it can leave a filmy residue on the pieces that can alter the finish on your kit.
For that reason, I always sand each piece before staining or painting them. Once each piece is sanded, dust them off so they are clean and you’re ready to go!
I didn’t for this kit, but you can stain each piece brown if you want a deeper brown to show through when you distress. To do that, mix a bit of brown paint with water and apply it to each piece with a wet wipe.
Paint each envelop with your white paint. I used red and pink paint for each of the hearts. You can use any shade/color you want. My choices are below in the supply list.
Allow the paint to dry completely on each piece, then lightly sand and distress each piece. Once you’re happy with the level of distress on each piece, glue the little hearts onto each envelope.
Make sure the glue is dry on the envelopes and the paint is dry on the large hearts, and you’re ready to add these to your jar!
A riser stand might come in handy depending on what you’re wanting to put your Valentine’s Day jar fillers in!
