DIY Large Wood Lantern
I love farmhouse, chunky, affordable, and crafty! So this DIY is all of that! We are making a DIY Large Wood Lantern! In fact, you can make as many of these as you want! I absolutely plan to do that! If you adjust the measurements you can make several different sizes and cluster them!
Farmhouse anyone?
I get it not everyone loves farmhouse style as much as me but listen, this lantern could fit right in most any decor style because it will be so neutral!

Alright, let’s have a look at the supplies that we will need!
October 19th, 2020 Supply List for DIY Large Wood Lantern
You will need: (items shown in the photo or any substitution you prefer) Don’t forget, you are not required to use the exact items! “As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.”
- Dollar Tree extra long skewers
- Dollar Tree sign boxes (I am using 2)
- Possibly 6 bundles of the 3 pack of 5 gallon paint stir sticks from Home Depot
- Raffia I am using some I got at Dollar Tree but I prefer the one I get at walmart
- A candle cup that I got at Hobby Lobby (you get a 5 pack but you will only need 1)
- The assorted pack of caps from Walmart LIKE THESE
- Brown and white paint
- Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- Chip brushes
Please substitute where you can! If it is not in your budget to purchase supplies, please get creative and think outside the box! Ask yourself, “What else could you use?” Furthermore, do you have things at home you can use?
You can still craft with us! BUYING SUPPLIES FOR THE CRAFTS in the Creative Haven are not a requirement. I simply want you to craft with us and make it your own.

I’m so to question but are we really going to need 18 of the 5 gallon paint stir sticks?
Depending on your design you could use that many. For my design I’ll be using 8 -12 sticks
