This super cute DIY hanging pocket planter is PERFECT for spring, but is also so versatile for year round decor!
Because the pieces of this simple hanging pocket planter are unpainted, you have full creative control over the finished look.

How to Make a DIY Hanging Pocket Planter
I started this hanging pocket planter like every one of my kits – by sanding each piece. When we cut these on our laser machines, it can leave a layer of residue that affects the finish on them.
Once each piece was sanded, I started painting each piece. For the front square piece, I did two navy stripes across the top and bottom and one thick pink stripe across the center.
Then, I painted the front decorative strips white, the top half of the back piece navy blue, and the side triangles with the same pink paint as the first piece.
Also, I stained the hello letters with brown paint. To do so, mix a bit of paint and water and use a wet wipe to apply it to the letters. Use a clean wet wipe to remove any excess from the letters.
Let all the paint dry completely. I like to use my heat gun to speed up the drying process. Once all the pieces are dry, lightly distress them, and dust them off.
Now, start gluing them all together! Lastly, attach your hanger and add in your flowers and greenery! You can also tie a little bow out of ribbon and glue it at the top if you want!
For this idea, I used these items but you can substitute where you want.
